Nikolai Boris Popov (born 1952) is a Bulgarian translator. ==Life== He graduated from University of Washington, with a Ph.D., in 1994. In 2001, he participated at a conference at University of Iowa International Writing Program.〔http://iwp.uiowa.edu/about/annualreports/2001AnnualReport.pdf〕 He teaches English and Comparative Literature at the University of Washington.〔http://depts.washington.edu/engl/people/profile.php?id=517〕 A James Joyce scholar and translator, he co-translated with Heather McHugh a collection of the poems of Blaga Dimitrova,〔http://www.griffinpoetryprize.com/shortlist_2001.php?t=7〕 and Paul Celan.
